Information, not advice
The guides, articles and tools on this site are general information about heat pumps, permits, incentives and related work in the Seattle area. They are not engineering, electrical, legal, tax or financial advice for your situation, and they are no substitute for an on-site assessment of your home.
Estimates and ranges are not quotes
Prices on this site, including every result from the cost estimator, are typical budgeting ranges drawn from published sources and dated when they were checked. They are not quotes, offers or guarantees of price. A price for your project is given only in a written quote after the home has been assessed, and that quote governs.
Results from the readiness assessment come from your answers alone. They are not a diagnosis of your home or its equipment.
Incentives and rules change
Rebates, utility programs, rates, permit fees and code requirements change, and each program sets its own eligibility rules. We note the date we last checked each figure, but we cannot guarantee that any incentive is still available or that you will qualify. Confirm current terms with the program before you rely on them.
Who does the work
The Seattle Heat Pump Company plans and manages heat pump projects. Installation and related work is performed by independent licensed and insured contractors. The terms of any project, including scope, price, schedule and any warranty, are set out in the written agreement for that project, not on this site.
Using the site
Please send accurate information through our forms and use them only to ask about your own home or property. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, get around its spam protection, or collect data from it by automated means.
